The competition provides app developers with the tools to build tomorrow’s all-connected world through highlighting pioneering HMS open capabilities.

Qualification Requirements for the Huawei HMS App Innovation Contest 2021 for developers worldwide
- Developers from all over the world are open to this competition. Taking part is as easy as signing up with your HUAWEI ID.
- Workers of Huawei and its affiliates, and their immediate relatives, are not eligible to enter the competition.
- Individuals aged seventeen and below are not eligible to set foot into the competition.
- Every member of the team must belong to the same competition region. You can take part in the competition alone, or as part of a team.
Rules for forming up a team
- A member of a team can apply to leave or join a team.
- Each team can have at most 3 members.
- Every contestant is eligible to join only one team.
- Every team should have a team leader who is in charge of team management, for example inviting or removing members and giving in works.
- The score for a competition submission belongs to the team. Incase a team member leaves the team, Incase a team member goes off the team, all existing scores will continue to belong to the team rather than the member going off.
You will be disqualified from the Huawei HMS App Innovation Contest 2021 for developers worldwide in the occurence of the things below:
- Third party code plug is used in your works are unauthorized, and are the source of a legal dispute; or
- Your works infringe any relevant terms, service agreements or rules applicable to HUAWEI DEVELOPER services, including but not limited to the HUAWEI Developer Service Agreement, AppGallery Review Guidelines and Agreement on Use of Huawei APIs.
- You copy the work of others;
Prize
Total Bonus for the competition Huawei has set aside US$1million from its Shining Star Program as prize money for the competition. US$200,000 will be issued to the top twenty applications in every region. The awards are as presented below:
