These Applications are open for all the 2nd ASEAN Energy Youth Awards (AEYA) 2021. The 2nd ASEAN Energy Youth Awards (AEYA) in recognition of young students’ valuable contribution to nation building, energy transition and continuos development are being announced with pleasure by The ASEAN Centre for Energy.
The 2nd awards’ theme is ” Innovation and Creativity Towards Continuos and Resilient Energy System in ASEAN”. The ASEAN Centre for Energy(ACE) is organising these awards together with Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation and assisted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTI) Korea and Korea Energy Agency (KEA).
Classifications: The classifications for the awards are Video, Essay and Infographic Poster.
Aims
To uplift the Participation of Youth to the AMS in expressing their perspectives and innovative ideas for increasing energy access, and affordability in a continuos way.
To engage the youth sector through using their creativity and innovation to intensify the public awareness of clean energy and a sustainable environment.
To promote continuos and resilient energy in the region and to usher awareness and participation in the implementation of ASEAN Plan of Action and Energy Cooperation Stage II: 2021 to 2025.
Prizes
The winners and runners up will be invited to the 39th of ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting in that will take place in September 2021 and to be given cash prizes and trophy or medal to be handed over by ACE, SEAMEO, MOTI and KEA.
Winners in Each category will be awarded like;
- Winner $1000
- 1st Runner up $750
- 2nd Runner up $500
- 3rd Runner up $250
Qualification
Each applicant can only apply for one category;
every applicant must have ASEAN Citizenship;
The preceding winners and runners up are banned from submitting entries to the same categories in the Awards of this year.
The awards are open to enrolled High School and University or College students with Bachelor’s degrees.
Requirements
Essay
- ShouId be in English language
- The allowed file format is PDF
- The essay length is at most 1000 words (Times New Roman, 12, Spacing: 1,5,Paper Size: A4)
Video
- Should be in English language
- The allowed file format is MP4
- Video length is 3 minutes and Size is at most 3GB
Infographic Poster
- Should in English language
- The file size is 2 to 5MB
- The file formats that are accepted inlude: JPEG, PNG, JPG
