Financial Benefits
All fellowships include complete funding, together with:
- Roundtrip worldwide airfare
- Monthly stipend:
- ¥362,000/month for Postdoctoral Fellows
- ¥387,600/month for Long-Term Invited Fellows
- ¥18,000/day for Short-Term Invited Fellows
- Settling-in Allowance: ¥200,000
- Research Support Grant (as much as ¥150,000 for relevant classes)
- Overseas journey insurance coverage.
Who Can Apply?
For Postdoctoral Fellowships [P/PE]:

- Must maintain a PhD (or receive one earlier than begin date).
- PhD obtained on or after April 2, 2020.
- Citizens of nations with diplomatic ties to Japan.
- Those with Japanese citizenship or everlasting Japanese residency are ineligible.
For Invitational Fellowships [L/S]:

- Must have a professor/affiliate professor-equal standing.
- Must be affiliated full-time with a international establishment.
- Must have a powerful report of analysis contributions.
