As a Quantitative Research Consultant, you’ll work underneath the steering of a Research Manager or Research Specialist and should tackle the next tasks relying on every project:

1. Research Design & Methodology

• Develop strong quantitative analysis designs, sampling methods, and analytical frameworks.

• Contribute to conceptual frameworks, theories of change, and data-collection protocols.

• Create analysis devices (questionnaires, studying assessments, commentary instruments, interview guides).

• Digitize instruments utilizing Kobo Toolbox or comparable ODK platforms.

• Prepare methodological documentation, knowledge dictionaries, and IRB submissions.

3. Data Management, Analysis & Visualization

• Clean, merge, and handle large-scale datasets (e.g., EMIS, exams, family surveys).

• Conduct descriptive, multilevel, experimental, and quasi-experimental analyses utilizing STATA, R, or Python.

• Produce high-quality analytical outputs, dashboards, and reproducible code.

• Contribute to mixed-methods integration and interpretation throughout knowledge sources.

• Draft analysis reviews, coverage briefs, and tutorial papers.

4. Capacity Strengthening

• Provide technical steering to UNICEF groups, ministries, and implementing companions.

• Facilitate trainings on analysis design, knowledge high quality, and evidence-based decision-making.

5. Dissemination & Engagement

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s diploma in Economics, Statistics, Education, Psychology, Social Policy, Political Science, or associated quantitative fields

• At least 5 years of expertise in quantitative analysis (ideally education-focused)

• Proven experience in managing and analyzing massive datasets

• Strong proficiency in STATA, R, or Python

• Demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis design and utilized econometrics

• Ability to speak findings to technical and non-technical audiences

• Excellent English writing and presentation expertise

• Strong organizational and teamwork skills

Desirable Assets

• Mixed-methods analysis expertise

• Experience in multi-country or advanced data-collection settings

• Instrument improvement (assessments, commentary instruments, surveys)

• Experience utilizing AI instruments for analysis

• Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, R Shiny, GIS

• Experience coaching or mentoring companions in analysis strategies
