2026 UNESCO-UNEVOC Global Awards for Innovation in TVET – Opportunities For Africans

Applications at the moment are open for the UNESCO’s Global Awards for Innovation in TVET. UNESCO-UNEVOC is launching the Global Awards for Innovation in TVET to rejoice excellent initiatives which are reimagining how technical and vocational training and coaching empowers people, societies and economies.

The Awards are coordinated by the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for TVET and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMBFSFJ) as part of the initiative “Towards a global TVET agenda”.

Award classes

Each yr, 3–5 classes shall be chosen to replicate world priorities in TVET transformation.

• Innovative use of know-how
• Inclusive excellence in TVET
• Green and sustainable TVET
• Resourceful innovation

Requirements
The Awards are open to:

• Research institutes
• Training suppliers
• Eligible candidates embrace self-nominated establishments and people nominated by ministries or nationwide TVET our bodies.
  
  Prizes

Award winners will obtain:

• Trophy and certificates
• Invitations to UNESCO-UNEVOC occasions to current the initiative or follow
• Publication in UNESCO-UNEVOC’s database of modern and promising practices in TVET
• Opportunities for world visibility and dissemination of their follow
• Support for scaling up and replicating the initiative (topic to availability of funds)
