Applications are actually open for the 2026 African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) Young Conservation Heroes Scholarship. The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), in partnership with the Wildlife Clubs of Kenya (WCK), has opened functions for the second cohort of the AWF Young Conservation Heroes Scholarship.

The scholarship is part of the four-year Young Conservation Heroes Project, launched in 2024 with assist from Bob and Emmy King and applied collaboratively by AWF and WCK. The broader mission goals to encourage and nurture a robust conservation motion amongst learners within the Tsavo Landscape by equipping roughly 83,000 with important conservation data and expertise.

Requirements

• The scholarship is open to 5 college students who’re former Grade 9 learners from the 137 major colleges supported by the Young Conservation Heroes Project throughout Tana River, Kwale, Kilifi, Kitui, Makueni, Taita Taveta, and Kajiado counties—situated inside 10 km of the Tsavo protected areas.  

Application Requirements
