Istanbul Photo Awards 2026 ($58,000 total prize) – YOA

Applications are open for the Istanbul Photo Awards 2026. Organized by Anadolu for the twelfth consecutive 12 months, the competition goals to advertise press images globally. Each 12 months, round 20,000 photos are submitted to İstanbul Photo Awards, which is extensively seen as one of many world’s high images contests.

The contest options 10 classes, together with Single News, Story News, Single Sports, Story Sports, Single Nature and Environment, Story Nature and Environment, Single Daily Life, Story Daily Life, Single Portrait, and Story Portrait.

• Single News: All information associated, single picture functions. Only 1 picture might be submitted per application. Photographers might apply 4 completely different photos.
• Story News: All information associated picture collection functions. 10 photos should be submitted per application. Photographers might apply 2 completely different tales.
• Single Sports: All sports activities associated, single picture functions. Only 1 picture might be submitted per application. Photographers might apply 4 completely different photos.
• Story Sports: All sports activities associated picture collection functions. 10 photos should be submitted per application. Photographers might apply 2 completely different tales.
• Single Nature & Environment: All nature and atmosphere associated, single picture functions. Only 1 picture might be submitted per application. Photographers might apply 4 completely different photos.
• Story Nature & Environment: All nature and envionment associated picture collection functions. 10 photos should be submitted per application. Photographers might apply 2 completely different tales.
• Single Portrait: All portrait associated, single picture functions. Only 1 picture might be submitted per application. Photographers might apply 4 completely different photos.
• Story Portrait: All portrait associated picture collection functions. 10 photos should be submitted per application. Photographers might apply 2 completely different tales.
• Single Daily Life: All day by day life associated, single picture functions. Only 1 picture might be submitted per application. Photographers might apply 4 completely different photos.
• Story Daily Life: All day by day life associated picture collection functions. 10 photos should be submitted per application. Photographers might apply 2 completely different tales.

Benefits

• The contest will distribute $58,000 in prize cash in total, with the Photo of the Year awarded to the highest picture within the Single News class, which comes with a $6,000 prize.
• First-place winners in every class will obtain $3,000, whereas second and third locations will get $1,500 and $1,000, respectively.

Eligibility

• The contest is open just for skilled photographers. 
• Professional photographers are those that earn, or have earned, nearly all of their revenue from images, and who promote or publish their work usually, and work with skilled images or media organizations.
• The contest is open for photographers each freelancer and beneath the identify of an organization / company. Freelancers can add firm identify for every submission on the INSERT IMAGE tab.
• Every submitted photograph should be taken in 2025 (1 Jan. 2025- 31 Dec. 2025). Photographers might submit each revealed and unpublished pictures.

Application

The deadline is January 9, 2026 at 23:59 UTC+3 (İstanbul Time). Photographers are accountable to concentrate to the timezone variations.
