KAS Media Africa invites journalists to submit their work for the 2026 Local Journalism Award. Local journalism is the heartbeat of communities, telling the tales that mirror lived realities, form public understanding, and join native views to nationwide and world occasions.

They welcome print, on-line, audio, video options, and progressive social media journalism initiatives that showcase the significance of native reporting and meet excessive journalistic requirements.

Benefits

• The three winners will every obtain an invite to the Local Journalism Conference in Malawi in February 2026, organised by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung’s Regional Media Programme for Sub-Saharan Africa, together with a monetary recognition to help their initiatives.

Eligibility

• Work should have been revealed in 2025.
• Submissions may be in English or French.
