The Alexis de Tocqueville Fellowship is now accepting functions for its February 2026 cohort. This distinctive fellowship explores the classical liberal foundations and prospects of Bitcoin, focusing on the ideas of liberty and subsidiarity.


Fellowship Overview

  • Duration: 4 months (February 2026)

  • Format: Begins with a 2-day colloquium in Austin, Texas, adopted by on-line discussions

  • Coverage: Books, journey, and lodging for the colloquium are supplied

  • Curriculum: Works by F. A. Hayek, Adam Smith, Alexis de Tocqueville, Lawrence H. White, and key essays on Bitcoin

  • Networking: Fellows will join with students in political economic system and financial coverage (together with Larry White, Pete Boettke, and David Beckworth), in addition to a vibrant alumni community

  • Members of the Bitcoin neighborhood

  • Graduate college students researching Bitcoin

  • Individuals within the intersection of Bitcoin, philosophy, and political economic system
