Applications are open for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES) Young Leaders Training Programme 2026. The Foundation is launching the 2026 version of the Young Leaders Training Programme, an initiative devoted to strengthening the political participation of younger women and men concerned in civil society, commerce unions and political events in Cameroon. 

The programme promotes the values of social democracy – freedom, justice and solidarity – by equipping a brand new technology of younger actors and actresses of change. Since 2012, the FES has been supporting younger leaders in Yaoundé and, since 2018, has positioned specific emphasis on coaching Cameroonian members.

For the 2026 version, 25 younger men and women will likely be chosen to take part in eight two-day coaching classes (Thursday to Friday), organised on the finish of every month from March to October 2026, both in particular person or on-line (Zoom). These classes will cowl quite a lot of matters: political management, strategic communication, democratic values, and operational administration instruments.

Eligibility

Applicants should:

• Be aged between 18 and 35 on the time of application;
• Reside in Cameroon;
• Be out there for all programme classes;
• Hold a college diploma (or be within the strategy of acquiring their first diploma);
• Be politically or socially energetic;
• Be concerned in an organisation, challenge, commerce union or political occasion.

Application

The application part runs from November 3, 2025 to December 3, 2025. Only shortlisted candidates will likely be contacted in January for particular person interviews, which is able to happen between January and February 2026, on the places of work in Yaoundé or on-line by way of Zoom.
