Call for Applications: Connecting Europe Fellowship 2026 in Brussels
The European Policy Centre (EPC) invites functions for the Connecting Europe Fellowship, a novel programme designed to deliver younger professionals from EU enlargement international locations into Brussels’ coverage conversations. The fellowship helps two researchers in advancing their very own coverage tasks whereas deepening dialogue on the way forward for Europe. It aligns with the Thinking Enlarged initiative, which integrates candidate-country views into EU debates.

About the Fellowship
Each fellow will spend three months on the EPC in Brussels, conducting an unbiased analysis challenge that hyperlinks EU enlargement with present coverage points. The programme is open to early- to mid-career professionals from the Western Balkans, Turkey, and the Eastern Neighbourhood.
What the Fellowship Offers
- Two positions (every 3 months, Feb–Dec 2026).
- €2,500 month-to-month mobility grant plus coated journey to/from Brussels.
- Opportunity to develop and publish a policy-oriented analysis paper.
- Integration into EPC programmes and publicity to EU-level debates.
- Access to Brussels policymakers, networks, and civil society.
- Workspace at EPC and assist in analysis, fieldwork, and publication.
- Peer studying, mentorship, and long-term engagement.
Who Can Apply
- Early to mid-career professionals (min. 1 12 months expertise) in suppose tanks, universities, NGOs, or civil society.
- Nationals/residents of eligible EU enlargement international locations: Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine.
- Strong curiosity in European affairs and enlargement-related points.
- Master’s diploma required; related fields embody political science, EU research, regulation, economics, and so forth.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Project Focus Areas
Applicants ought to suggest analysis that hyperlinks EU coverage with enlargement. Priority themes embody:
- Rule of regulation & democratic resilience
- Green Deal & local weather alignment
- Digital governance & cybersecurity
- Foreign coverage & strategic alignment
