The Home-Grown Solutions Agribusiness Accelerator (HGSA-A) is a COMESA regional initiative that helps growth-stage agribusinesses delivering scalable, progressive, and impact-driven options throughout Africa’s agricultural worth chain. The HGSA-A seeks to advertise inclusive and sustainable agribusiness development by scaling African-owned and -led enterprises addressing meals insecurity, local weather challenges, and commerce limitations. The programme supplies tailor-made help to strengthen funding readiness, improve fundraising capability, and increase regional commerce beneath the AfCFTA framework.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Be legally registered and operational in a COMESA member state.
• Align with the programme’s choice for women-owned or led enterprises (70%) and youth-owned or led (18-35) enterprises (30%).
• Be an African-owned or African-led growth-stage firm.
• Demonstrate a confirmed and progressive enterprise mannequin with an annual turnover near USD 100,000 (varies by nation).
• Operate inside inclusive, high-potential agribusiness worth chains corresponding to high-value crops (excluding major manufacturing), enter provide, agro-processing, worth addition, commercialisation, import substitution, aggregation, logistics, distribution, market entry providers, digital agriculture, and climate-smart inputs.
• Show clear potential to entry regional or worldwide markets with sturdy scalability prospects (e.g., export linkages, COMESA partnerships, replicable fashions, or regional growth methods).
