About the Program

The Digital Health Africa Internship Program 2026 is a 6-month, skill-based studying and influence expertise designed for younger Africans keen about digital well being, media, and innovation.

Interns will work instantly with the DHA workforce throughout departments to strengthen Africa’s digital well being ecosystem by storytelling, youth engagement, analysis, and community-building.

This program is an opportunity to co-create Africa’s digital well being future, gaining actual expertise whereas contributing to tasks that form the continent’s well being innovation narrative.

What You’ll Do

Interns will help DHA’s ongoing work in:

• Media & storytelling
• Youth engagement & scholar community coordination
• Digital well being analysis
• Policy & advocacy documentation
• Technology and innovation
• Events and partnerships coordination

Interns will work collaboratively throughout DHA’s departments and packages, together with:

1. Media & Communications Department

You’ll:

• Write or edit tales highlighting African well being innovators
• Support podcast manufacturing and visitor coordination
• Manage digital campaigns for DHA occasions and options

2. Programs & Partnerships Department

Assist with occasion planning, companion coordination, and logistics for DHA packages, workshops, and collaborations.

You’ll:

• Support planning for 2026 occasions (AI Bootcamp, M&E Workshop, Climate & Health Week)
• Liaise with stakeholders, startups, and companion organizations
• Document program actions and outcomes

3. Research & Insights Department

Work with DHA’s analysis workforce to help studies, intelligence briefs, and evidence-based storytelling.

You’ll:

• Assist in knowledge assortment and evaluation
• Contribute to digital well being coverage briefs
• Support content material for the upcoming Africa Digital Health Directory and Insight Reports

4. Technology & Digital Systems Department

Support technical growth, web site updates, and digital infrastructure upkeep for DHA’s platforms.

You’ll:

• Help handle the brand new DHA Media Hub 2.0
• Contribute to product documentation and content material uploads

5. Africa Digital Health Student Network (ADHSN) Department

This division drives youth engagement and scholar involvement in digital well being innovation.

You’ll:

• Support coordination of university-based scholar teams
• Plan and doc the ADHSN Innovation Challenge and different youth-led actions
• Liaise with scholar representatives throughout African universities
• Curate tales and profiles of rising scholar innovators

Learning & Development

Every month, interns will take part in structured coaching and mentorship classes led by DHA leaders and invited consultants.

Eligibility

This program is open to:

• Young professionals or current graduates (ages 18–35)
• Passionate about digital well being, know-how, media, or coverage

• Able to commit 8–10 hours per week (January–June 2026)
• Comfortable working remotely and collaboratively
