The Faculty of Science (FNWI) at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) is inviting functions for the Global South Fellowship Scheme 2026. About the Fellowship

The Global South Fellowship Scheme supplies 4 visiting fellowships for researchers from growing nations to spend a number of months at the Faculty of Science. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should:

• Be at any profession stage — together with PhD college students, postdoctoral researchers, or educational workers — with a powerful curiosity and collaborative mindset.

Expectations from Fellows

Fellows are anticipated to:

• Be current at the Faculty of Science at least three days per week.
• Collaborate actively with their UvA co-applicant and the broader FNWI analysis neighborhood.
• Deliver an opening presentation and take part in Global South Plan occasions.
• Submit a closing report (co-authored with the UvA co-applicant) summarizing fellowship outcomes and outlining future collaboration alternatives.

Selection Process

Only 4 fellowships will probably be awarded on this pilot version. Selection will probably be primarily based on:

• Academic observe report and analysis potential
• Experience in worldwide collaboration
• Alignment with DIEP or CIMPA thematic areas (for 2 of the fellowships)
