Applications are actually open for the 2025 AU–EU Partnership (#AUEU25) Photography Competition.
Ahead of the seventh AU–EU Summit, scheduled to happen in Luanda, Angola, on 24–25 November 2025, the African Union(AU)  and the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to the AU  have launched the “#AUEU25 Through Our Lens” Photography Competition as part of the year-long commemoration marking 25 years of the African Union–European Union (AU–EU) Partnership.

As each Unions put together to meet in Luanda to chart the subsequent section of their strategic partnership, the “#AUEU25 Through Our Lens” Photography Competition invites younger photographers (aged 30 and under) from Africa and Europe to seize, via highly effective and artistic imagery, the tales of impression, progress, and collaboration which have formed communities throughout each continents. From group empowerment and entrepreneurship to environmental innovation, well being resilience, and cultural alternate, the competitors celebrates the spirit of partnership and shared progress that has outlined AU–EU cooperation since its inception.

Competition Highlights

• Free Entry: Participation is open and freed from cost.
• International Exposure: The high 25 finalists could have their work exhibited in Addis Ababa, with a possible satellite tv for pc exhibition in Brussels.
• Digital Showcase: Selected entries will likely be featured in a particular on-line gallery shared with AU and EU missions worldwide.
• Visibility: All chosen works will likely be promoted via AU and EU digital and social media platforms.

Grand Prizes

Two total winners one African and one European  will every obtain:

• A €500 cash prize;
• A fully funded trip to Addis Ababa for the award ceremony, deliberate for early December 2025;
• A talking alternative throughout the exhibition launch;
• Exclusive networking Opportunities with AU and EU officers, photographers, and artistic trade stakeholders.
