Applications at the moment are open for the 2026 Data Science to Advance Women’s Health (DSAWH) Fellowship. The transformative 9-month program designed to equip women scientists with the information, instruments, and networks to make data-driven influence in well being analysis.

Through this fellowship, 20 early-career women researchers from Eastern and Southern Africa will be part of a vibrant group of innovators, mentors, and leaders advancing the frontiers of women’s well being utilizing information science.

The Data Science to Advance Women’s Health Fellowship is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Requirements

• Participants will obtain mentoring and coaching in information science and scientific writing.
• Participants should be pursuing a grasp’s or doctoral diploma, or be a publish graduate researcher engaged on women’s well being.
• Participants must also have a draft of a primary authored analysis paper. The chosen fellows will use the talents discovered from this fellowship to advance their careers, publish in scientific journals and contribute to their subject.
• The second cohort will include researchers in East and Southern Africa.
