Applications are actually open for the 2025/2026 New Media Writing Prize. The NMWP encourages and promotes the most effective in new-media writing and is main the way in which towards the way forward for the ‘written’ phrase and interactive storytelling. 

The NMWP has attracted entries from essentially the most progressive writers within the subject, from all world wide. The Competition is organised by the New Media Writing Prize CIC, with facilitation and sponsorship from Bournemouth University, the University of Birmingham, One-toOne Development, and Wonderbox Digital, with a beneficiant donation from if:e-book UK/Chris Meade.

Requirements

• The Competition is free and open to any individual no matter their age or nationality.
• NMWP assumes that the place an entrant is beneath 18, the entrant’s mother and father have consented to their entry within the Competition and their settlement to be sure by the Rules.

Prize:

The successful work in every class will obtain the next prize:

• The Chris Meade Memorial UK New Media Writing Prize: £1000 donated by if:e-book UK/Chris Meade, the place the winner might also be a scholar, i.e. satisfies level d. of clause 7.
• The IDN for Social Good Award: £500
• The Opening Up Award: £500
• The Student Award: TBD
• The Digital Journalism Award: TBD
