Applications at the moment are open for the 2025/2026 Africa Extractives Media Fellowship. The AEMF is a 6-month intensive journalism coaching programme designed to strengthen reporting on Africa’s extractive industries. The fellowship combines:
- Expert-led coaching periods
- Mentorship from trade leaders
- Field reporting Opportunities
- Networking with stakeholders from authorities, trade, and civil society
This initiative is led by NewsWire Africa in partnership with main establishments and organizations dedicated to transparency, sustainability, and good governance.
Requirements
- Early to mid-career journalists based mostly in Ghana
- Reporters working in print, broadcast, digital, or multimedia platforms
- Strong curiosity in extractives, local weather change, vitality transition, or sustainable improvement
- Women journalists are particularly inspired to apply
