Applications at the moment are open for the 2025/2026 Commonwealth Foundation grants Programme. The Commonwealth Foundation provide grants of as much as £60,000 to civil society organisations in the Commonwealth.

Requirements

• The applicant have to be a not-for-profit civil society organisation (CSO) registered in an eligible Commonwealth Foundation Member State.
• The applicant organisation should have a minimal of three years’ demonstrable expertise engaged on participatory governance and advocacy inside the space/theme(s) of the proposed mission. Organisations which have been registered and working for lower than three years aren’t eligible.
• Applicant organisations which are presently implementing, or which have lately accomplished, a Commonwealth Foundation Grant however haven’t obtained their closing fee, aren’t eligible to apply to this grant name.
• The mission should search to facilitate change via constructive engagement between civil society and decision-makers, together with civil society participation in coverage improvement and decision-making, inside a number of of the Foundation’s precedence themes (see above).
• Proposals should relate to initiatives which are anticipated to start after the 1 August 2026 and earlier than the tip of September 2026.
