British Council UK Alumni Awards 2026 for young Professionals who studied in the UK. – Opportunities For Africans

Applications at the moment are open for the 2026 British Council UK Alumni Awards. The Study UK Alumni Awards recognise the excellent achievements of worldwide UK alumni worldwide. These awards honour worldwide leaders who have leveraged their UK schooling to make important contributions to their communities, industries, and nations.
Award classes embody enterprise and innovation, tradition, creativity and sport, science and sustainability, and social motion.
Requirements
UK study
Alumni should have studied:
- inside the final 15 years (i.e. 2010 – 2025)
- enrolled at an formally recognised body or obtained a recognised award from a UK increased schooling establishment
- at diploma degree or above (diploma degree is outlined as band 9 and above on the UK ENIC band framework)
- both at a UK college in the UK, for a minimal of 1 time period or semester, OR awarded a full UK diploma degree qualification (or increased), awarded by a recognised UK HEI, in their home nation (Transnational Education – TNE/lengthy distance).
Professional brief programs: alumni are solely eligible if the course they studied was at diploma degree (or above), provided by a recognised UK establishment in the UK (they usually fulfil the remainder of the standards).

- Areas of labor may embody, however are usually not restricted to: arts, design, humanities, conventional media, music, video, TV, sports activities and on-line content material and audio-visual media creation (e.g running a blog, vlogging together with for YouTube and social media).
Science and Sustainability Award – Recognising alumni who have distinguished themselves via their careers and achievements in the world of science and sustainability, and who can show the influence and scale of their achievements in their career, and past.

Social Action Award – Recognising alumni who have made an distinctive contribution and dedication to creating optimistic social change and bettering the lives of others.
