Applications at the moment are open for the 2026/2027 Princeton in Africa Fellowship. Princeton in Africa (PiAf) is a non-profit group that gives year-long paid post-graduate fellowship Opportunities with quite a lot of organizations working throughout the African continent.  Fellowships are open to graduates of U.S.-accredited faculties & universities in addition to faculties & universities primarily based on the African continent via the Nexus program.

Eligubility Requirements

To be eligible for the 2026-27 Princeton in Africa Fellowship, common candidates should:

• Be young professionals or present undergraduates graduating by June 2026 on the time of application.*
• Hold a bachelor’s, grasp’s, or a Ph.D. from a 4-year U.S.-accredited university.
• Have full skilled proficiency in talking, studying and writing English as outlined by the CEFR (Level C1 and above). Professional proficiency in French is most popular for some posts.
• Be no older than 35 years of age for the period of the fellowship 12 months (born on or after September 1, 1991).
• Hold a passport legitimate via the top of the fellowship 12 months (August 2027).

*General candidates should not be enrolled in any graduate, doctoral, or equal superior tutorial packages throughout their fellowship 12 months.

• Hold a passport legitimate via the top of the fellowship 12 months (August 2027).
• Have citizenship in an African nation and have present residency in an African nation. Applicants with twin U.S. citizenship is not going to be thought of.

*Nexus candidates should not be enrolled in any graduate, doctoral, or equal superior tutorial packages throughout their fellowship 12 months.

Application Timeline:

• Monday, October twenty seventh, 2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern: Applications due
• Early December, 2025: Applicants are notified whether or not they’re invited to interview
• January 5-Ninth, 2026: Virtual interviews
• February-May 2026: Selected candidates are notified about potential posts. Placements are ongoing. 
• Late May 2026: Placements finalized
• June 5-Seventh, 2026: Mandatory digital orientation
• June 9 – August 10, 2026: Fellowships start
• June 8 – August 9, 2027: 12-month fellowships finish
