Craft Research Fund grant 2026 (up to $15,000)

Applications are open for the Craft Research Fund Grant 2026. As the Center’s first and longest-operating grant program, the Craft Research Fund is devoted to supporting new and interdisciplinary analysis about craft within the United States. Since 2005, this system has supported 255 tasks in 41 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico by distributing over $1,900,000.

In addition to receiving this prestigious award and funding, recipients of the Craft Research Fund will turn out to be members of the Center for Craft Alumni Network. This social platform is designed completely for present and former grantees, and presents invaluable sources, networking alternatives, and ongoing assist for craft analysis.

Grant

  • Grants up to $15,000 are awarded to assist new and interdisciplinary analysis about craft within the United States.

Eligibility

Applicants should be:

  • Able to obtain taxable earnings within the United States throughout the grant
  • Able to report this grant as earnings
  • 18 years of age or older

Proposals are welcome from candidates with a spread of affiliations, together with however not restricted to, unbiased and educational researchers, artist-researchers, curators, organizations and establishments, and students.

  • This grant is meant to assist analysis and is NOT for the creation of paintings. ‍
  • This grant does NOT present funding for already accomplished analysis or the dissemination of already accomplished analysis.
