Applications are open for the AAUW American Short-Term Research Publication Grants 2026. The American Short-Term Research Publication Grants intention to enhance the variety of girls with educational tenure and promote gender fairness for girls in greater schooling by offering funding to girls in academia to put together analysis manuscripts for publication. 

Grants are open to candidates in all fields of study, although these engaged in science, know-how, engineering, and math fields, or these researching gender points, are particularly inspired to apply. Established in 1888, American Association of University Women (AAUW) American Fellowships are the oldest non-institutional supply of graduate and postdoctoral funding for girls within the United States.

• Grant Amount: $8,000, disbursed in a single tranche at first of the award time period.

Eligibility

• Applicants should establish as a girl.
• Applicants should maintain a Ph.D., Ed.D., D.B.A., M.F.A., J.D., M.D., D.M.D., D.V.M., D.S.W., or M.P.H. on the time of application.
• Applicants should be listed as the only writer, first writer, or an writer of equal significance on their publication. 
• Applicants should be a U.S. citizen or everlasting resident.

Selection Criteria

• Scholarly excellence, as demonstrated by educational achievements, authentic analysis, recognition from friends, professors, and/or establishments, and different types of distinction
• Research that’s authentic in design and can make important contributions to the related area
• Feasibility of plans for manuscript preparation, the proposed timeline, and funds
• Applicants’ educating expertise
• Active dedication to serving to girls and ladies by means of service of their communities, professions or fields of analysis
• Applicants pursuing analysis in science, know-how, engineering, or math fields; or these researching gender points (Preferred)
• Applicants who have demonstrated resilience in overcoming life challenges past their management, corresponding to socioeconomic standing, discrimination, restricted educational sources, or alternatives or different antagonistic circumstances (Preferred)
• Applicants who had been the primary of their household to attain a bachelor’s diploma (Preferred)
• Applicants who lead or hail from single father or mother households (Preferred)
