Nominations are open for the BlackNorth Initiative Lifetime Achievement Award 2025. The function of the Lifetime Achievement Award is to honour and have fun the winner’s accomplishments in championing the rights and freedoms of Black Canadians or who has considerably impacted many people and organizations.

The Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates distinctive advocates who’ve, by no less than 10 years of documented contributions, influenced people, organizations, or pushed systemic change throughout Canada in help of Black communities. This honour highlights a long time of advocacy, management, and group-constructing.

Award

• Winners of the BlackNorth Initiative Lifetime Achievement Award will obtain a prize of $15,000.

Eligibility

• Nominee should have 10 or extra years of documented accomplishments championing the rights and freedoms of Black Canadians;
• Nominee should self-determine as being of Black/African descent;
• Demonstrated management, ingenuity, and measurable group influence aligned with Black tradition, language, schooling, and/or rights inside the Black or BIPOC group.
