Applications at the moment are open for the 2025 African Girls Can Code Initiative (AGCCI) Camp. UN Women Kenya, in partnership with Siemens AG, the African Union Commission (AUC) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), is worked up to announce the AGCCI 2025 Camps, which goal to equip 100 women and young ladies throughout Kenya with world-class digital expertise, mentorship, and management coaching to grow to be lively shapers of Africa’s digital future. 

UN Women Kenya, in shut collaboration with the Ministry of ICT and Digital Economy, Ministry of Gender and Ministry of Education will host two intensive residential coding camps in Nairobi August and September 2025. These camps will every deliver collectively 100 passionate and pushed women and young ladies from throughout the nation for a transformative expertise centered on coding, Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, civic tech, and digital entrepreneurship. 

Camp Details 

• Camp 1- sixteenth to twenty ninth August 2025 (50 individuals) 

• Camp II- sixth – nineteenth September 2025 (50 individuals) 

Requirements

  • Girls and young ladies aged 17–25 from throughout Kenya, particularly these from marginalized or underserved communities 
  • Students or current graduates with curiosity in tech, coding, or digital innovation 
  • Girls and young ladies with disabilities are strongly inspired to apply — inclusive entry and help can be offered 
  • While prior coding expertise is an added benefit, it isn’t a should — all you want is motivation, curiosity, and a dedication to be taught and lead 

Benefits

Successful candidates will: 

  • Participate in a totally sponsored residential tech bootcamp (coding, AI, cybersecurity, civic tech, platform financial system, and so forth.) 
  • Engage in hands-on studying, peer-to-peer collaboration, and real-world digital challenges 
  • Receive mentorship from main ladies in STEM, AGCCI alumni, and tech professionals 
  • Deepen their understanding of gender equality and girls’s empowerment together with frameworks such because the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Beijing Platform for Action, and discover how digital instruments can drive social change 
  • Take part in interactive classes on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV), constructing consciousness and methods for protected, inclusive digital engagement 
  • Learn learn how to design and pitch impactful digital options addressing local people challenges 
  • Access ongoing Opportunities in management, advocacy, digital security, and youth networks
