Join the ISS Addis Ababa as a Researcher – Training for Peace Programme The Institute for Security Studies (ISS) in Addis Ababa, as part of the Training for Peace (TfP) Programme, is inviting functions for the place of Researcher. Job Title: Researcher
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Key Responsibilities

Conduct coverage analysis and evaluation on peace and safety points related to the African context.

Produce and disseminate analysis findings by way of numerous platforms (studies, articles, shows).

Contribute to coaching and capacity-building actions by:

Supporting the event of coaching supplies.

Facilitating and conducting coaching periods.
-
Collecting knowledge for monitoring, analysis, and suggestions.

Coordinate the implementation of the challenge’s monitoring and analysis framework.

Support administrative and logistical actions equivalent to:

Coordinating occasions and conferences.

Assisting in finances preparation and reporting.

Candidate Requirements
Applicants should meet the next {qualifications} and expertise standards:

Master’s diploma or greater in social sciences, political science, worldwide relations, or a associated area.

At least 5 years of related expertise, notably involving:

The African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA).

AU or RECs/RMs processes associated to gender, peace operations, and peacebuilding.

Demonstrated expertise in:

Proven report of:

Strong interpersonal, networking, and communication abilities for collaborative work with AU, RECs/RMs, authorities and civil society actors.

Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in French or different AU languages is advantageous.

Willingness and skill to journey often.

Strong pc literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to handle deadlines and carry out beneath stress.
