Applications are open for the European Heritage Awards/Europa Nostra Awards 2026. The European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards purpose to determine, recognise and champion greatest practices within the safety and conservation of cultural heritage in addition to modern developments and data within the care and promotion of tangible, intangible and digital cultural heritage.

Through the ability of instance, the scheme permits the alternate and switch of experiences and abilities throughout borders and between communities in Europe and past. Categories

Outstanding heritage achievements shall be awarded within the following classes:

• Conservation & Adaptive Reuse;
• Research;
• Education, Training & Skills;
• Citizens’ Engagement & Awareness-raising; and
• Heritage Champions.

Eligibility

• Entries could be associated to tangible, intangible or digital heritage. The scope of the entries could be starting from small to giant, from native to European and worldwide.
• Entries for the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards, co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe Programme, might solely be submitted from nations taking part within the Culture strand of the Creative Europe Programme, i.e. the EU Member States and third nations related to the Programme.
• Entries submitted from nations which might be members of the Council of Europe however will not be taking part within the Culture strand of the Creative Europe Programme are solely eligible for the Europa Nostra Awards.
