Applications at the moment are open for the 2026 United Nations – The Nippon Foundation Fellowship Programme. The Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea of the Office of Legal Affairs of the United Nations (“OLA/DOALOS”) is now accepting functions for the 2026 session of the United Nations – The Nippon Foundation (UNNF) Fellowship Programme.

The goal of the UNNF Fellowship on Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea is to offer mid-level
Government officers and different mid-level professionals from growing States dealing straight with

Structure:

  • Phase Two: A six-month analysis keep at an instructional Host Institution collaborating in the
    UNNF Programmes, chosen for its experience in the Fellow’s discipline of analysis (from July to

Eligibility standards:
To qualify, candidates should:

  • Be between the ages of 25 and 45.
  • Possess no less than a primary college diploma or equal.
  • Demonstrate a capability to undertake superior tutorial analysis and research.
  • Be from a growing State.
  • Be a mid-level authorities official or mid-level skilled dealing straight with ocean affairs
    and/or the regulation of the sea akin to, however not restricted to, the implementation of UNCLOS and
    associated devices, and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable
