Join the ISS Junior Fellowship Programme – the place hard-working younger West Africans develop the abilities to drive significant change and launch their careers within the coverage discipline.

The Institute for Security Studies (ISS) and the Bosch Foundation are empowering West Africa’s subsequent era of coverage leaders via a flagship programme on ‘Gender, human security and geopolitics’. Exceptional younger West Africans (particularly girls) are invited to apply for the primary consumption of 4 fellows.

 As a fellow, you’ll spend 10 months working with main African consultants in Dakar to perceive the governance challenges stopping West Africa from reaching its full potential. You will achieve uncommon entry to high decision-makers and assist craft coverage options. Fellows have a novel alternative to construct connections that unlock varied careers in human safety coverage making and observe.

Requirements

• Be a citizen of any West African nation
• Be beneath 30 years of age
• Hold a Master’s diploma in worldwide relations, political science, legislation, anthropology, sociology, or associated fields
• Have a robust curiosity in safety, gender, democracy, governance or geopolitics
• Be fluent in English or French; further West African languages are a plus
• Be a assured communicator, self-motivated and keen to develop in a dynamic group
