PEAR Summer Research Program 2025 for Nigerian Students (Fully-funded)

Applications are open for the PEAR Summer Research Program 2025. The Program for Excellence in African Research (PEAR) is a totally-funded, 9-day STEM summer time program run by Massachusetts Institute of Technology college students.

Taking place from August 18 – 27 at Greensprings School, Anthony Campus in Lagos, this system brings collectively 30 college students to construct palms-on tech tasks in groups utilizing Raspberry Pi kits. Led by MIT college students Tony Odhiambo and Emmanuela Ilok, PEAR goals to encourage a brand new technology of African drawback-solvers via sensible studying, mentorship, and innovation.

Benefits

  • PEAR is absolutely funded, with all supplies supplied, and provides palms-on STEM expertise, mentorship from MIT college students, and an opportunity to construct impactful tech tasks.

Eligibility

  • Open to present senior secondary college college students (SS1 – SS3/Year 10 – 11);
  • Should be capable of commute to and from Greensprings every single day (primarily based in Lagos for the length of this system);
  • Proficiency in excessive-college degree math and physics;
  • Strong curiosity in STEM and drawback-fixing;
  • Commitment to attend all 9 days (9am-5pm every day), Sunday is free;
  • Enthusiasm for studying and collaboration.
