About the Internship
Join MPG as a Research Intern and contribute to cutting-edge work in European migration and integration coverage.
This paid internship provides hands-on expertise in indicator-based analysis. You’ll work with our flagship instruments—MIPEX (Migrant Integration Policy Index) and MIREX (Migration Return Policies Index)—as part of the FAIR (Finding Agreement in Return) mission, which explores essential dimensions of return coverage, together with detention practices, coverage legitimacy, and options.
You may also contribute to broader tasks by conducting desk analysis, knowledge evaluation, stakeholder interviews, and helping with dissemination of findings.

Who Should Apply
Required:

Already legally residing in Belgium (or ready to take action throughout internship)

Fluent in English (information of different European languages a plus)

Strong writing, analytical, and social analysis expertise

Solid grasp of migration, integration, and return coverage points
Preferred:

Familiarity with MIPEX, MIREX, or different MPG indicators

Experience in quantitative evaluation or coverage analysis
