Across Nigeria, the impacts of local weather change are more and more seen — from rising warmth and water shortage to the complexities of the power transition. Yet, native tales that join these challenges to individuals’s every day lives typically stay underreported. That’s the place the Climate Reporting Gap Fellowship comes in.
This new initiative will help six Nigerian journalists to report unique tales on local weather finance and power transition by inclusive, data-driven and community-centred reporting. Whether you’re drawn to print, audio, video, or multimedia reporting, this Fellowship is designed to allow you to supply compelling, solutions-focused journalism that resonates on the native and regional stage.
Requirements
Journalists and filmmakers from Nigeria, and reporting in Nigeria.
- One World Media is wanting for mid-career and skilled candidates, with not less than 3-5 years expertise in their discipline.
- Applicants don’t must have a background in local weather finance, however an curiosity in telling tales in regards to the local weather disaster and power transitions, and a robust background in journalism and/or their chosen medium.
