About the Fellowship
The Monica Clare Research Fellowship is a robust platform devoted to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who’re wanting to discover and reinterpret Queensland’s Indigenous histories. This annual fellowship honours the legacy of Monica Clare, a famend political activist and the primary Indigenous girl in Australia to publish a novel—Karobran (1978). Her title now champions a brand new era of reality-tellers, historians, and information keepers.
