Applications are open for the Africa Women Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) Awards 2025. The AWIEF Awards recognise and have fun the outstanding achievements of girls in entrepreneurship, management, and innovation. Since 2016, the AWIEF Awards have honoured and promoted excellence in girls’s entrepreneurship and management throughout Africa.

The AWIEF Awards intention to:

• Recognize and have fun excellence: Highlight the distinctive achievements and contributions of African girls entrepreneurs and leaders driving financial development and social affect throughout the continent.
• Inspire the following technology: Showcase highly effective tales of innovation, resilience, and management to encourage younger girls and women to pursue entrepreneurship and tackle management roles.
• Amplify visibility and affect: Elevate the profiles of feminine innovators and changemakers, giving them a platform to achieve recognition, develop their affect, and increase their alternatives.
• Promote inclusive and sustainable growth: Honour girls whose ventures and management align with AWIEF’s dedication to innovation, expertise, entrepreneurship, and socio-financial transformation.
• Foster a pan-African group of excellence: Build a related and collaborative community of excellent girls leaders throughout sectors and areas, championing girls’s financial empowerment and gender equality.
• Encourage affect-pushed entrepreneurship: Recognize companies and non-revenue ventures which might be fixing Africa’s urgent challenges by artistic, inclusive, and scalable options.

Eligibility

Nominees for the AWIEF Awards 2025 should meet the next basic standards:

• Must be feminine entrepreneurs, founders, co-founders, or leaders of organizations or ventures primarily based in Africa.
• Must be at the very least 18 years previous on the time of nomination.
• Must have demonstrated excellent initiative, innovation, and management of their subject or business.
• Must have proven measurable affect and success, comparable to enterprise development, group engagement, or business disruption.
• Must be making a big contribution to socio-financial growth, gender equality, or sustainability in Africa.
