About the First Response Fund (FRF)

The First Response Fund is a brand new international pooled fund at the moment in its design section, resourcing feminist-led humanitarian responses. Anchored by a community of 12 feminist and ladies’s funds and coordinated by Prospera, the FRF prioritizes core, versatile funding to girls’s rights and women-led organizations (WROs/WLOs) in ODA-eligible international locations, guaranteeing their life-saving companies are supported throughout humanitarian crises.

The FRF is hosted on the Equality Fund and displays a transformative shift towards localization, fairness, and feminist humanitarianism.

About the Role

As the Program Manager, you’ll lead the FRF Secretariat via its launch and three-year pilot section. Reporting to the Co-VP of Global Programs, you’ll handle the strategic implementation, stakeholder coordination, and day-to-day execution of FRF’s grantmaking technique.

This is a high-impact alternative for a humanitarian skilled who’s obsessed with gender justice, localization, and power-shifting in emergency response contexts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the design-to-implementation transition of the FRF pilot
  • Lead operations throughout governance, useful resource mobilization, grantmaking, and MEL working teams
  • Ensure easy functioning of the Advisory Group, composed of feminist funders, WROs, and humanitarian leaders
  • Develop and handle annual work plans, grant dockets, and budgets
  • Provide strategic and operational management to a rising group (Program Officer, Financial Analyst, MEL Lead)
  • Manage donor relationships and contribute to funding proposals and reviews
  • Facilitate assist and accompaniment for FRF grantees
  • Ensure alignment with feminist ideas, safeguarding insurance policies, and humanitarian requirements

Who We’re Looking For

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of humanitarian coordination expertise
  • Proven monitor report with humanitarian tasks and feminist organizations
  • Demonstrated understanding of humanitarian frameworks, ideas, and finest practices
  • Familiarity with Global South-based civil society and intersectional feminist funding fashions
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder administration expertise
  • Excellent challenge administration and management skills
  • Fluency in English; Spanish, Arabic, or French as a second language is a robust asset
  • Comfortable working remotely with versatile hours and occasional journey (2–4 journeys/12 months)
