Community Led Climate Solutions Grants 2025
The Community Led Climate Solutions (CLCS) grant program is an initiative by the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR), designed to assist not-for-profit organisations throughout distant, rural, and regional Australia to create and implement revolutionary, locally-driven local weather options.
This program is proudly backed by a collaborative group of donors devoted to supporting communities as they tackle the native impacts of local weather change via schooling, engagement, and motion.
What We Fund
This program focuses on supporting initiatives that contribute to the discount of greenhouse gasoline emissions and foster local weather resilience via community-based approaches.
We invite proposals that tackle a number of of the next key focus areas:
- Clean Energy – Community-led renewable power initiatives or power effectivity options
- Circular Economies – Projects decreasing waste and selling reuse or recycling techniques
- Decarbonisation – Activities focusing on carbon footprint discount throughout sectors
- Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems – Solutions that promote low-impact, regenerative farming
- Biodiverse Ecosystems – Community-driven initiatives restoring and defending biodiversity
- Just Transitions – Supporting susceptible populations to adapt and thrive throughout the shift to a low-carbon financial system
We outline “Just Transitions” as making certain that nobody is left behind as we construct a sustainable, low-carbon future.
Funding Available
CLCS presents two funding streams to assist initiatives at totally different levels of growth:
Stream 1: Engage & Deliver Small Grants
- Grants as much as $20,000
- Ideal for pilot initiatives, teaching programs, or group engagement actions
Stream 2: Scaling Grants
- Grants from $20,001 to $75,000
- Designed for increasing profitable fashions, scaling impression, or implementing large-scale options

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for a Community Led Climate Solutions Grant, your organisation should meet the next necessities:
Organisation Type

Must be a not-for-profit organisation.

Must have a sound ABN (Australian Business Number) or Incorporation Certificate.

Must be primarily based in rural, regional, or distant Australia (not metro/capital city-based).

Organisations will need to have a governing board or committee.
