Applications at the moment are open for the 2025 Akademie Schloss Solitude Residency Program. Akademie Schloss Solitude, along with the National Art Gallery of Namibia and the Goethe-Institut Namibia, is happy to announce the continuation of its bilateral residency program, which promotes long-term cultural change between Namibia and Baden-Württemberg. The intention is to attach the fellows with the native cultural scenes on web site and to strengthen the change of information inside the creative communities of each contexts.

The residency program helps artists from Namibia. It goals to combine them into new creative communities and to introduce their work to a wider viewers in Baden-Württemberg. In 2026, this system will manage two six-month fellowships from March to August in Baden-Württemberg for artists from Namibia. The residency will give two artists the chance to go to Baden-Württemberg collectively and to accompany one another over the course of the fellowship. In change, two artists from Baden-Württemberg can have the chance to go to Namibia for six months in 2026. These fellowships can be promoted in a separate name.

The program will enclose occasions corresponding to readings, exhibitions, discussions, and workshops as a type of output for audiences and cultural communities in Baden-Württemberg. Applicants are free to decide on the thematic focus of their mission.

Requirements
