Call for Proposals: Bacha Entrepreneurship Project 2025 – YOA

Submission of proposals for the Bacha Entrepreneurship Project 2025 are ongoing. The Bacha Entrepreneurship Project invites Basotho youth aged 21 to 35 to submit their enterprise proposals.

The Basotho Enterprises Development Corporation (BEDCO) is a parastatal of the federal government of Lesotho that was established by an Act of Parliament: BEDCO Act No.9 of 1980 (as amended) mandated “to promote the development of Basotho-owned enterprises and of Indigenous entrepreneurial skills and for connected purposes.”

​BEDCO fulfills this mandate by means of facilitating the institution and progress of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME)s by performing the next features:

• Provision of enterprise growth assist providers.
• Promotion and entrenchment of an entrepreneurial tradition in Lesotho.
• Facilitation of the institution of incubation providers.
• Advocacy for an enabling regulatory framework and applicable licensing regime for MSME.
• Facilitation of entry to finance and markets

Eligibility

• Open to Basotho youth aged 21 to 35.
• Completion of the Cambridge Overseas School Certificate (COSC) or Lesotho General Certificate of Secondary Education (LGCSE) or greater.
• No formal employment alternatives after acquiring {qualifications}.
• A real curiosity in beginning a enterprise.
• Proposals are additionally welcome from begin-ups led by eligible youth in search of funding for enlargement.
