Calling all Early-Career Consultants in Africa who’re enthusiastic about Gender, Inclusion, Disability, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)!
Gender at Work (G@W), in partnership with Ladysmith, is worked up to announce a brand new 16-month coaching programme for early-career consultants based mostly in Africa. The Gender at Work Early-Career Consultants Training Programme in Gender, Inclusion, Disability and Organisations goals to construct capability in working with organisations to realize higher outcomes in gender equality, inclusion, and incapacity consciousness—particularly inside the evolving context of AI and improvement.
For over 20 years, Gender at Work has partnered with over 100 organisations globally to enhance their work on gender equality. Through this expertise, G@W has developed revolutionary studying and alter methods that produce impactful and sustained outcomes.
This new programme is part of our ongoing work supporting analysis groups funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the FCDO Artificial Intelligence for Development programme (AI4D).
What Does the Programme Involve?
The programme will settle for three early-career consultants for a interval of 16 months, beginning in August 2025. Each chosen participant will obtain a stipend of $3,200 CAD for their participation.
Participants are anticipated to have interaction roughly 8 days per yr in numerous programme-related actions.
Programme Threads:

Shadowing & Engagement: Work alongside skilled G@W consultants participating with analysis groups.

Critical Reading & Study: Engage with literature and case research on studying, change, gender, inclusion, and AI.

Reflective Practice: Join a daily reflection group led by a senior Gender at Work affiliate.
Participants shall be uncovered to each Gender at Work’s methodology and Ladysmith’s analysis and organisational approaches.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants have to be:

Early-career consultants with a powerful curiosity or background in gender and inclusion research.

Experienced in facilitation.

Open to studying about synthetic intelligence and its position in improvement.

Willing to problem assumptions and study from numerous views.

Based in Africa.

Proficient in English (French is an asset, however not required. A French programme is anticipated in the long run).
