QMUL ReMAKE Programme – Entrepreneurship Mentorship for Social Justice (Now Recruiting Students)


Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) is recruiting pupil advisors for the QMUL ReMAKE Programme, an entrepreneurship coaching course for previously incarcerated people. If you’re a pupil who desires to make a difference, that is your probability to construct real-world abilities and contribute to a life-changing initiative.

About the Programme

The ReMAKE Programme, based by Judge Dr. Kameel Khan and impressed by a Stanford initiative, helps prison-leavers develop the instruments they should re-enter society via entrepreneurship. Over 8–12 weeks, contributors acquire enterprise abilities, develop startup concepts, and pitch to actual traders—with the assist of QMUL pupil mentors.

As a pupil advisor, you’ll:

  • Partner 1:1 with an entrepreneur

  • Attend weekly on-line periods

  • Support marketing strategy improvement and investor pitches

  • Learn about re-entry, fairness, and the justice system

  • Help create a judgment-free, collaborative area for studying

Programme Impact

  • 57 previously incarcerated graduates

  • 102 pupil mentors thus far

  • 8% reoffending charge, far beneath the UK common of 46%

  • 40% of 2018–19 grads began a enterprise

  • 50%+ of 2022 grads secured internships at Capita Plc

  • 80% of jail inhabitants is excited about entrepreneurship (vs. 40% nationwide avg.)
