Annual Theme: Learning to Collaborate for a Shared Future

In 2025, the programme focuses on:
Using dialogue to foster social cohesion in a world on the transfer.
Selected individuals will design and lead modern, youth-led initiatives that strengthen group bonds by intercultural change.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the UNESCO Intercultural Leadership Programme, candidates should:

  • Be between 25 and 45 years previous by 1 September 2025

  • Have confirmed management expertise of their communities or skilled fields

  • Be enthusiastic about intercultural dialogue, peacebuilding, and group improvement

  • Submit a challenge proposal in English aligned with the programme theme

  • Be out there to take part in all parts of the programme

Programme Timeline (2025–2026)

  • May 19 – June 22, 2025: Application Period

  • August 2025: Online Information Session

  • September 2025: Virtual Leadership Training

  • October 2025 – May 2026: Project Implementation & Mentorship

  • April 2026: In-Person Global Forum in Guangzhou, China

  • May 2026 Onward: Access to the Alumni Network

What Types of Projects Are Eligible?

Your challenge should:

  • Be led by you (the chosen participant)

  • Address the annual theme

  • Be applied inside 6 months

  • Be of native or nationwide scope

  • Comply with worldwide and nationwide legal guidelines

Selection Criteria

Applications shall be evaluated primarily based on the next:

  • Leadership and Experience (30%)

  • Motivation and Alignment with Programme Goals (25%)

  • Peacebuilding and Dialogue Experience (10%)

  • Impact and Scalability (20%)

  • Innovation and Feasibility of Project Idea (15%)

Top 50 candidates shall be chosen, and an extra 12 alternates shall be positioned on a ready record.

Funding Details
