Applications at the moment are open for the 2025 Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Kenya. Are you a young graduate fascinated by worldwide relations? Are you curious to be taught extra about work of a diplomatic mission and how the EU Delegation represents EU pursuits and values in Kenya?

Main Task

  • Actively contribute to the work of the Political, Press and Information Section at the EU Delegation to Kenya.
  • Under the steerage of the political adviser, observe Kenyan political developments and contribute to political reporting and evaluation.
  • Contribute to the Delegation engagement with the Kenyan media
  • Under the steerage of the Delegation Press and Information Officer, often replace the Delegation web site and social media accounts.
  • Support the Political, Press and Information Section in the design and format of knowledge materials.
  • Assist with press critiques
  • Meeting preparation and minutes taking
  • Fulfilling different duties, as required.

Requirements

  • Hold a college diploma, and have a confirmed curiosity in the area of worldwide relations, political sciences, safety, commerce relations, journalism/media or different associated topics, with a specific deal with African affairs;
  • Have confirmed analytical, organizational, analysis and drafting expertise;
  • Be a group participant and good communicator;
  • Be arduous working and see the internship as a possibility for skilled and private improvement;
  • General data of the EU international coverage priorities with a specific deal with Africa is a serious benefit;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English;

Program Details

  • traineeship of 6 months inside the Political, Press and InformationSection of the EU Delegation to Kenya, beginning in October 2025.

Benefits

  • Each chosen trainee will obtain a monthly grant to cowl residing bills. All prices associated to travels, visa, insurance coverage, lodging should be borne by the trainee.
