Applications at the moment are open for the 2025 Nigeria Health Watch Solutions Journalism West Africa Fellowship. Nigeria Health Watch is happy to launch the Solutions Journalism West Africa Fellowship – a four-month programme designed to strengthen the observe of solutions-oriented health reporting throughout West Africa.

This fellowship is part of the Solutions Journalism Africa Initiative (SJAI), and will prepare 10 excellent health journalists from throughout West Africa, equipping them to provide in-depth tales that showcase impactful, evidence-based options in health and different cross-cutting growth points.

Requirements

Interested candidates will need to have:

1. Robust investigative journalism, story telling, and analysis abilities.
2. Residency in a West African nation.
3. Minimum of three years journalism expertise (distinctive early-career candidates could also be thought-about).
4. Active affiliation with a radio, tv, or digital media outlet (Freelancers may also apply however should again their application with a letter of help from a good platform keen to publish/broadcast their tales).
5. Demonstrated expertise in solutions-oriented reporting.
