Internship Opportunity: Conflict Prevention in the Great Lakes Region – Nairobi

Role: Intern – Conflict Prevention & Governance (Great Lakes Region)
Join a dynamic crew in Nairobi working at the forefront of peacebuilding and battle prevention. As an intern, you’ll achieve hands-on expertise in political analysis, early warning methods, and governance coverage whereas contributing to real-world influence in East Africa and the Great Lakes area.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor media and produce studies on battle and socio-political developments

Conduct main and secondary analysis and help in evaluation
-
Support publication of coverage briefs, articles, and studies
-
Assist in organizing stakeholder engagements and analysis dissemination
-
Help determine goal donors, peer networks, and beneficiaries

Provide help in monitoring and analysis of initiatives
-
Assist in admin and logistics duties
Eligibility Criteria:
-
Must be a Kenyan nationwide, resident of Kenya, or maintain a legitimate Kenyan work allow
-
Postgraduate diploma in Peace and Security Studies, Political Science, IR, Law, Sociology, Criminology, or associated fields
-
Excellent English communication expertise (written & spoken)
-
Knowledge of French or Kiswahili is an added benefit

Desirable: Experience with battle early warning methods

Strong analysis and analytical expertise
-
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
Stipend & Duration:
This is a 12-month internship with a month-to-month stipend provided.
