Research Nova Scotia Public Impact Award 2025 – YOA

Nominations are open for the Research Nova Scotia Public Impact Award 2025. The Public Impact Award acknowledges a researcher whose work has benefitted Nova Scotians by tangibly bettering the economic system, setting, healthcare system, or society.

The recipient is somebody who has devoted their analysis to reply to the wants of society. They are fixing an issue, managing a danger, or creating an OPPORTUNITY for Nova Scotians. Nominees can come from academia, a public analysis establishment, authorities, or the non-public sector and do not need to have held Research Nova Scotia funding. The 2025 Public Impact Award will probably be introduced on the 23^rd Annual Discovery Awards.

Eligibility

• Nominee is a Nova Scotian researcher in academia, a public analysis establishment, authorities, or the non-public sector
• Must have the ability to clearly reveal how their analysis has straight and deliberately benefitted Nova Scotians. From the unique goal of the work, to the partnerships fashioned to conduct the analysis, to the impression it has had within the province.
• The Nominee ought to clearly articulate the implementation mechanisms (i.e., coverage implementation and/or business, well being system, or not-for-revenue uptake)
• NOTE: Previous or present Research Nova Scotia funding is just not required.

Nomination

Nominations for the Public Impact Award will probably be managed by Research Nova Scotia’s grant administration platform, JURA. Nominations shut on May 15, 2025 at 1 p.m. (AST).
