The World Health Organization (WHO) invites purposes for the first-ever coaching on the Urban Health Capacity Assessment and Response Resource Kit. This on-line course will help professionals in understanding and strengthening cross-sectoral city well being initiatives.

Training Overview

  • Format: Online (Zoom)
  • Schedule: 4 weekly periods on 13, 20, 27 June and 4 July 2025
  • Duration:
    • 1.5 hours per session
    • Additional 4 hours of offline preparation
  • Total Participation Time: 10 hours
  • Expected Participants: Approximately 30
  • Language: English
  • Certificate: Issued upon full participation and project completion
  • Cost: Free of cost

Target Audience

A. Cross-Sectoral Teams (Preferred Applicants)

  • Composed of three–4 people
  • From no less than 2 completely different sectors (e.g., well being, transport, setting, economic system)
  • Must share a standard city well being purpose
  • May be from public or personal establishments (e.g., authorities businesses, civil society organizations)

B. Individual Facilitators

  • Experienced in intersectoral processes (e.g., stakeholder dialogues, joint planning)
  • Strong working relationship with native authorities
  • May work in authorities, academia, civil society, or personal establishments centered on bettering city well being

Background

Urban environments face a number of, interlinked challenges together with fast urbanization, local weather change, and social inequalities. These points demand collaborative and strategic responses.

The WHO’s Urban Health Capacity Assessment and Response Resource Kit supplies a sensible framework to:

Objectives of the Training

Primary Objective:

Participants will be taught to:

  • Identify capability gaps and strengths
  • Develop localized, strategic response plans
  • Collaborate throughout sectors
  • Facilitate participatory governance
  • Incorporate fairness in well being insurance policies and practices

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should:

  • Be professionals in:
    • Urban well being coverage or follow
    • Related sectors (e.g., transportation, infrastructure, economic system, security)
  • Have:
    • A bachelor’s diploma
    • At least 5 years of labor expertise OR 3 years and a sophisticated diploma
    • Experience in multi-sectoral settings
    • Demonstrated curiosity or expertise in city well being
    • Excellent English proficiency

Team Applications:

  • Strongly inspired

      • Describe a multisectoral city well being mission you’ve labored on
      • Describe a problem in coordinating a multi-sectoral mission and the way you addressed it
      • Explain your related strengths and give examples of the way you’ve used them
