The G53 Financial Literacy and Personal Finance Research Network is happy to announce its 2025 Financial Literacy Research Boot Camp, to be held at Stanford University in June 2025.
This is an distinctive alternative for Ph.D. college students, postdoctoral researchers, early-career researchers, and assistant professors to have interaction with and study from main specialists within the fields of monetary literacy and private finance.

About the Boot Camp
The Boot Camp is designed for people with a robust curiosity in:

- Financial literacy and schooling

The program goals to:

The Boot Camp is organized and funded by Stanford’s Initiative for Financial Decision-Making (IFDM) and co-funded by Joachim Herz Stiftung (JHS).

- Dates: Monday, June 23 – Friday, June 27, 2025
- Location: Stanford University campus
- Welcome Dinner: Sunday, June 22, 2025
Program Overview
This is a five-day, full-immersion workshop that can cowl:
- Research methodologies in monetary literacy and private finance
- Survey design and measurement methods
- Theoretical fashions of monetary decision-making
- Conducting impression evaluations in experimental settings
The workshop will start the morning of June 23 and conclude within the early afternoon of June 27.
Participant Eligibility
The Boot Camp will host roughly 20 contributors. Eligibility is restricted to:
- Assistant professors
- Early-career researchers
- Postdocs
- Ph.D. college students who’ve accomplished no less than one yr of coursework
Academic background required: Participants should maintain or be pursuing a Ph.D. in economics, finance, or a associated subject.
Note: All contributors are anticipated to finish assigned readings earlier than the Boot Camp.
