The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) is looking for skilled facilitators to guide a sequence of trainings aimed toward strengthening digital rights advocacy and activism amongst civil society actors in Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Côte d’Ivoire, and Guinea (Conakry). These trainings will handle challenges reminiscent of restricted entry to info, on-line censorship, information privateness considerations, and insufficient authorized protections.


Project Objectives

The particular aims the challenge are to:

  • Increase CSOs to deepen data and enhance consciousness in digital rights inclusion, advocacy and activism in Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Cote d’Ivoire, and Guinea;
  • Enhance the capability of chosen CSOs in figuring out gaps in digital rights inclusion, and conceptualising and designing efficient advocacy campaigns utilizing digital instruments and assets to drive change in Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Cote d’Ivoire, and Guinea.

Specific Deliverables

Successful facilitators will carry out the next duties:

  • Develop digital advocacy toolkit for use to facilitate coaching and consciousness creation classes

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION

• Understanding of the digital safety panorama in West Africa significantly from civil society views

• Proven experience in digital safety, digital rights together with, digital advocacy, activism and on-line campaigns

• Strong data of related digital safety associated insurance policies, legal guidelines and rules at each nationwide and international ranges.

• Desirable expertise in partaking and influencing digital safety insurance policies and discourses at nationwide, regional or international degree.

• Demonstrated abilities and expertise in coaching and facilitation, particularly in digital safety, digital rights advocacy and activism for civil society organisations

• Track report in delivering related interventions to civil society organisations in digital digital safety, digital rights advocacy and activism strengthening and coverage engagements.

• Operational expertise in the Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea, Nigeria and Liberia.
