Applications are open for the ESD Okayama Award 2025. The award acknowledges excellent ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) initiatives anyplace on this planet. One or two undertaking(s) will likely be chosen to obtain the award.

The ESD Okayama Award has been held since 2015 underneath the joint sponsorship of Okayama City and the ESD Okayama Award Steering Board, with the intention of honoring wonderful examples of ESD all over the world, thereby supporting the actions of the award-profitable undertaking organizations and contributing to the unfold of ESD actions.

One consultant from the group(s) implementing the awarded undertaking(s) will likely be invited to attend the ESD Okayama Award 2025 Ceremony in Okayama, Japan and will likely be requested to make a presentation in regards to the undertaking. The Award Ceremony, scheduled for October 21, 2025, will likely be held at the side of the 14th Global RCE Conference in Okayama City (hosted by the United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability, Okayama City, and the Okayama ESD Promotion Commission). 

Prize

• Up to $3,000 USD will likely be awarded to chose undertaking.

Eligibility

• ESD initiatives which have been carried out for greater than 2 years by organizations anyplace on this planet.

Application

The application deadline is May 31, 2025 at 17:00 (Japan Standard Time). No Applications is not going to be accepted after the application deadline.
