The Ministry of Health and Mass Media has formally launched the Asidisi Media Scholarship Programme – 2025, an annual initiative geared toward empowering Sri Lankan journalists by means of skilled improvement. Who Can Apply?
This scholarship is open to:
- Journalists aged 18 to 55
- Those employed in acknowledged media establishments (everlasting, part-time, freelance, or provincial)
- Web journalists and media technicians
- Must have minimal 3 years of expertise
- Must maintain a legitimate 2025 Media Identity Card issued by the Department of Information
What’s On Offer?

- Rs. 200,000 for graduate or postgraduate programmes
- Rs. 100,000 for brief or lengthy-time period certificates programs
The scholarship is paid out in three installments:
- 50% at course begin
- 25% halfway
- Final 25% upon profitable completion and submission of your certificates
- Bonus: You can apply twice, with a 5-yr hole between awards!
